Who do I contact to request a new identification (“ID”) card?
You can order additional ID cards by either logging into Aetna Navigator at www.AetnaStateOfMaine.com or calling Aetna Member Services at 1-888-267-2637.
Do I need to choose a primary care doctor?
No. Although managing your health care with a primary care doctor is encouraged, it is not required with this plan.
Do I need a referral to go see a specialist?
No. Referrals are not required with this plan.
When will I receive a bill for my monthly health insurance premium?
The premium bills are done by Aetna on the 15th of each month and will then be mailed to your home. You have 30 days to make your regular monthly payment.
I have received a medical bill from my hospital for services and I don’t understand why; who do I call?
Aetna Member Services at 1-888-267-2637 for services received on or after January 1, 2013. For services received prior to January 1, 2013 you may call Anthem Member Services at 1-877-411-1640.
I received an Explanation of Benefits from Aetna regarding a recent medical claim and I believe it is incorrect; who do I call?

I was charged a different copay for my prescription than I usually pay; how do I find out if I paid the correct amount?

Can I still go to the same gym as I did with Anthem's Silver Sneakers program?
Aetna has a different program called Silver & Fit. Some of the gyms that participated with the Silver Sneakers program also participate with Silver & Fit. Aetna is working on expanding their existing network of fitness facilities. To find out if your gym is part of the Silver & Fit network you can call Silver & Fit Member Services at 1-866-333-4274 or log onto www.SilverandFit.com. As a retiree of the State of Maine, you still have acces to the State of Maine's Eastside, Westside and Bangor Wellness Centers.
