The Department of Health and Human Services has an ongoing need for Comprehensive Health Planner II’s (CHP II) to help us identify and evaluate Maine’s healthcare system needs, assess the performance of various healthcare programs, and develop initiatives which improve our healthcare system. Typical duties include planning and monitoring health programs and services, and collecting and evaluating statistical data for the purpose of planning and policy development in health related programs. CHP II’s are expected to work independently, with limited supervision. Most CHP II’s are based in Augusta, and are located in either the Office of MaineCare Services (formerly the Bureau of Medical Services), or the Maine Center for Disease Control & Prevention (formerly the Bureau of Health).

In order to qualify, you must have an eight (8) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in planning, program development, and coordination in the health field or related fields.
