Rapid Response Session Scheduled for Employees of Businesses Affected by Lisbon St. Fire in Lewiston Bookmark and Share

LEWISTON -- Maine Department of Labor has scheduled a Rapid Response session for workers at the businesses affected in the Lisbon St. fire in Lewiston on December 5, 2018. Workers may be eligible to collect unemployment benefits and for other services.

"The department's Rapid Response program assists workers facing job loss due to downsizing or closures," said Governor Paul R. LePage. "The Rapid Response team is reaching out to help these workers."

The Rapid Response session will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 10, at the Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way, Lewiston. Affected workers may also contact the CareerCenter at (207) 753-9001 or 1-800-741-2991. TTY users call Maine Relay 711

The Rapid Response session will offer information about health insurance options and re-employment assistance, in addition to answering questions about unemployment benefits.
