Construction Showcase and Career Opportunities Fair held at Augusta Civic Center on April 11 Bookmark and Share

AUGUSTA?National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is kicking-off the 2018 construction season with the annual Construction Showcase and Career Opportunities Fair on April 11, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Augusta Civic Center, 76 Community Drive, Augusta. The Career Opportunities Fair runs 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the event and includes more than 50 construction employers and industry-related resources. Representatives from the Augusta CareerCenter and Maine's Hire-A-Vet Campaign will be available to speak with job seekers about helpful resources. The event is open to the public.

?Maine?s hit historic numbers of jobs created in consecutive years in 2016 and 2017, wages have been rising since 2015, our unemployment rate has hit an all-time low, and over 11,000 job openings are regularly posted on Maine JobLink,? said Governor Paul R.
