AUGUSTA--Genesis Healthcare is partnering with Mid-Maine Adult Education and the Augusta CareerCenter to provide training and employment opportunities to eligible candidates interested in pursuing employment in the growing field of healthcare. An information session is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, at Oak Grove Center, 27 Cool Street in Waterville.

?I encourage people who have been out of work to explore these training opportunities,? said Governor Paul R. LePage. ?You may qualify for a program that can train you for a new career at little or no cost to you. Some of our training programs are more hands-on, while others incorporate classes with on-site training. It is worth a conversation to find out what programs fit your skills, interests and learning styles. We want all of Maine?s citizens to have a good-paying career with a future.?

People interested in attending must register by October 24 by calling Mid-Maine Regional Adult Community Education at 207-873-5754, or going online to http://midmaine.maineadulted.org and searching "CNA" in the "Search Courses" field.
