SPRINGVALE--The York County CareerCenter is holding a Federal Employment Workshop on Thursday, June 29 and Friday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to noon, at 9 Bodwell Court in Springvale. The workshop will cover how to navigate USAJobs.gov, establish a USAJobs account, review job postings, identify qualifications and requirements, a three-part process for writing, building or tailoring a federal resume, veteran preference, and more. Space for the workshop is limited. Call 207-324-5460 to reserve a seat.

?Maine CareerCenter staff help job seekers stand out when competing for a position,? said Governor Paul R. LePage. ?Our monthly workshops help people fine-tune their job search tools and techniques, whether a resume or cover letter, interview skills, and finding and applying for jobs online."

USAJobs.gov is the Federal Government's official employment website for all federal agencies, many of which have openings in Maine.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, Internet access and O?Net software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
