BANGOR?Tri-County CareerCenter in Bangor announces April programming for job seekers and those who are considering training to upgrade their skills and increase their employability.

?CareerCenters provide job seekers with the job search skills and support needed to find good-paying work,? said Governor Paul R. LePage. ?Mainers can start or jump start their career search at mainecareercenter.gov. You?ll find monthly job fairs and workshops, various training program opportunities, and how to connect with the closest office.?

Resume Information Seminar ? First and Third Tuesdays of each month, 9 a.m. to noon

Learn the basic do?s and don?ts of resume writing, how to use key words and phrases to catch an employer?s attention, discover web sites for skills identification and learn how to produce a resume that will work for you. You will not have a resume in hand when you leave. Call 561-4050 to register for the next session.

Interview Workshop ? Fourth Tuesday of each month, 9 a.m. to noon

Join us to find out how to have the Ultimate Job Interview. Learn how to prepare for an interview, discover what employers are looking for and follow-up advice that will help you land the position you truly want. Call 561-4050 to register for the next session.

Gateway to Employment Workshop ? Mondays, 2 to 4 p.m.

This is an overview of information on resumes, interviews, job search skills as well as CareerCenter and community resources available during your job search.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Information and Registration Session ? Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to noon

This is an overview of services and programs available through WIOA to residents of the tri-county area to include intensive job search assistance, potential training opportunities and options like on-the-job training. It also includes eligibility requirements and information on accessing all of these services. Please complete your Maine Job Link registration prior to attending the workshop. Essentials of College Planning and Financial Aid ? Presented by MEOC ? Fridays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can call for an appointment or register online and at the number below.

Steps for successful college enrollment, types of colleges and trade schools, entrance requirements, readiness and transitional issues of adults, admission requirements and financial aid overview and completion.
