SPRINGVALE—The York County Regional Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, April 5, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Nasson Community Center, 457 Main Street, Springvale, Maine. More than 90 businesses and organizations participated last year and the department anticipates that the same number of employers will be recruiting at the fair again this year.
Job seekers and career changers will have the opportunity to speak with recruiters working to immediately fill open positions in all sectors of Maine’s economy to include manufacturing, healthcare, retail, military, defense contracting, aviation, hospitality, insurance, construction and services.
“Thousands of good-paying jobs with Maine employers are available at Maine JobLink and our many job fairs around the state,” said Governor Paul R. LePage. “With a low unemployment rate, employers are looking to hire. The CareerCenters can help you prepare your resume and practice interviewing to be ready to land your next job at the job fair. Contact your closest Maine CareerCenter today.”
Commissioner of Labor Jeanne Paquette stated, “This is an employees' market, and the increased competition for workers means that wages are rising. There's no better time than now for workers or people thinking about going back to work to see what is out there and talk to employers at a job fair.”
