PRESQUE ISLE - The Presque Isle CareerCenter announces November programs for job seekers and those who are considering training for a new career.

?Our CareerCenters have a wealth of information to help Mainers find a job, training program or advice on resources to help make a career change, whether they?re out of work or looking for a new job,? said Governor Paul R. LePage. ?Each location has computers and Internet access job seekers can use, as well as workshops and consultations with our experts?all at no cost. Job seekers and businesses interested in connecting with one another can also like the CareerCenter on Facebook. Events are held at the Presque Isle CareerCenter, located at 66 Spruce Street, unless otherwise noted. Maine Veterans receive priority of service in all CareerCenter programs.

Financial Aid ? Tuesdays, November 1, 8, 22 and 29 at 9 a.m., and November 15 at 1 p.m.

Learn how to create a professional resume and walk out the door with one in hand.

Health Sector Career Fair ? Wednesday, November 9, 9 a.m.

Interested in a career in the health sector? Come speak with representatives from local companies about opportunities in our area.

Introduction to Career Center Services and WIOA Services Offered Through The Aroostook County Action Program ? Wednesday, November 16, 9 a.m.

Looking for work? Thinking about retraining? Come visit us and have a conversation about how we can help you accomplish your goals.

Job Search for People with a Criminal History ? Wednesday, November 23, 9 a.m.

Do you have a criminal background? Are you having trouble finding work? This workshop will give job search tips, suggestions on how to respond to those hard-to-answer questions and identify where best to seek employment that will lead to a successful job search.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O?Net software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
