July Programs at the York County CareerCenter

SPRINGVALE - The York County CareerCenter in Springvale, located at 9 Bodwell Ct, Springvale, will hold a series of workshop programs during the month of July for job seekers and those considering training to increase their skills and employability.

CareerCenters can assist businesses by offering workshops on location, at local businesses or other organizations at no cost. The following workshops and programs will be held at the CareerCenter in Springvale unless otherwise noted.

Essentials of College Planning Workshop

  • Monday, July 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Monday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Monday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A free interactive workshop that outlines the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career planning, and study skills. The workshop lasts approximately 2 - 3 hours. York County Monthly Job Fair at the CareerCenter

  • Wednesday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Recruiters from different companies will be interviewing for current openings during these two sessions. No appointment required. Please check www.mainecareercenter.gov/employment/jobfairs.shtml and our social media for a list of participating employers and the times they will be here.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade skills.
