MAINE - Are you a job seeker and not sure what the next step in your career is, or an employer looking to expand your workforce? The Maine Department of Labor's CareerCenters, together with their partners, offer many services to help people find employment or upgrade skills, and help employers find qualified workers.

Virtual Statewide Workshop: Creating and Navigating Your Maine JobLink Job Seeker Account Monthly on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays @ 9:00am - 10:30am

Searching for a job and not sure how to get started? Join us for this virtual session on the Maine JobLink as we demonstrate how to navigate and create a personalized jobseeker account on Maine's web-based, job-matching and labor market information system. You will learn how to post your resume, search for the ideal job based on your skills and experience, look for training providers, access additional resources linked to the software, and much more!

Virtual Workshop: Job Readiness-Preparing to Apply for a New Job Every Thursday from 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM

In this workshop we help active job seekers find a job as soon as possible with support from guest speakers that include HR professionals at local employers. Topics include:

-Interview preparation -Resume building -Tips for the application process -Question & answer sessions -Individualized and peer-to-peer support

Each of the centers across the state provides public computers with internet access, Microsoft Office, resume/cover letter writing software, and O*Net - https://www.onetonline.org/ software for personal skills assessment.

Employers can list their open positions on Maine JobLink and use our online system which matches jobs with candidates. All CareerCenter services are provided at no charge to employers and job seekers. Veterans and eligible spouses receive priority of service in all Department of Labor programs.
