AUGUSTA - Rep. Allison Hepler, D-Woolwich, spoke at an event Wednesday to advocate for organ donation and to share her own story as a donor spouse. In 1997, Hepler lost her husband after a work place fall, but because of his decision to be an organ donor, he saved multiple lives.
"Organ donation when your loved one is dying is not a decision to make. It's just what you do," said Hepler. "I think of it as a final act of love."
AUGUSTA - The Maine House voted unanimously Thursday to enact a measure sponsored by Rep. Allison Hepler, D-Woolwich, that would provide direct funds to communities to support their efforts to reduce the presence of browntail moths.
Rep. Allison Hepler, D-Woolwich, welcomed Woolwich resident Olive Beeton and her mother Blueberry Beeton to the State House Tuesday. Olive performed the national anthem in the chamber of the House of Representatives at the start of the day's session.

AUGUSTA - Rep. Allison Hepler, D-Woolwich, is urging all Maine residents to check the state database for unclaimed property.
Maine State Treasurer Henry Beck says the state is holding more than $291 million of unclaimed property after adding over $16 million this year alone. In total, the State of Maine is holding over 905,000 unclaimed property listings.
