BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Maine — Local lawmakers Sen. Cameron Reny, D-Bristol, and Rep. Holly B. Stover, D-Boothbay, invite the community to join a town hall meeting on upcoming changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the nation’s largest anti-hunger program. 

Reny and Stover will be joined by House Speaker Ryan Fecteau, D-Biddeford, and advocates for hunger relief in Maine. 

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Brunswick’s state representatives recognized outgoing town councilors Sande Updegraph and W. David Watson at a Brunswick Town Council meeting on Monday.

 This year, I know the holidays may be particularly challenging for many in our community. The rising cost of living is continuing to strain family budgets, in turn making it harder for working families to make ends meet. Many are having a hard time affording groceries and putting food on the table.

AUGUSTA – Today, Rep. Mana Abdi (D-Lewiston), Rep. Deqa Dhalac (D-South Portland) and Rep. Yusuf Yusuf (D-Portland) authored an open letter responding to recent hateful remarks from President Donald Trump disparaging Somali immigrants in the United States.  

Abdi, Dhalac and Yusuf are the first Somali Americans to serve in the Maine House of Representatives.
