Lawmakers to hold town hall on changes to food assistance program

BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Maine — Local lawmakers Sen. Cameron Reny, D-Bristol, and Rep. Holly B. Stover, D-Boothbay, invite the community to join a town hall meeting on upcoming changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the nation’s largest anti-hunger program. 

Reny and Stover will be joined by House Speaker Ryan Fecteau, D-Biddeford, and advocates for hunger relief in Maine.

  • When: Monday, Jan. 12, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Where: Harbor Theatre, 185 Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor 

The meeting is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required. Refreshments will be provided. 

Reny is serving her second term in the Maine Senate. She is a member of the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee as well as the Marine Resources Committee. 

Stover is serving her fourth term in the Maine House. She is a member of the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee as well as the Government Oversight Committee.
