Provider Enrollment Application (PEA) Outage
We are experiencing issues with the PEA. Providers are unable to submit new provider enrollment applications, revalidation applications, or maintenance cases for existing enrollments.
System Maintenance from April 23, 2022 to April 24, 2022
MIHMS and the Health PAS Online Portal will be unavailable from 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022 to 12:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2022 for scheduled system maintenance and upgrades.
Attention Providers of Sections 31 Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Services and 103 Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Services: National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) Change of Edit 6075 from Warn to Deny, CR 106771 and 108825
We have implemented a system change, in accordance with federal guidance, to opt out of applying Procedure to Procedure (PTP) NCCI edits to claims for FQHCs and RHCs. Claim lines will no longer deny due to these edits.

On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, the Pharmacy POS system will be unavailable for approximately eight hours, beginning at 8:00 p.m., for system maintenance. You will be unable to submit or adjudicate pharmacy claims during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
2022 Rate Updates for Medical Imaging Codes, CR 107225
On February 16, 2022, as part of a regular annual update, we updated the rates for MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter II, Section 101, Medical Imaging Services, in MIHMS, retroactively to January 1, 2022.
Dental Problems with Buprenorphine Dissolved in The Mouth to Treat Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Pain
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports that patients that use medications containing buprenorphine that are dissolved in the mouth may experience dental problems.
Dental problems, including tooth decay, cavities, oral infections and loss of teeth, can be serious and have been reported even in patients with no history of dental issues.
