In addition to being the unofficial start to summer, today is the beginning of the next phase of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Re-Entry (see our DHHS Calendar of Important Dates).
Effective June 30, 2022, UB-04 and 837I claims submitted without an attending provider will deny.
In an effort to maintain more accurate data in the MIHMS system, provider enrollment is now requiring you to enter a Secure Fax number for each service location during any new, revalidating, or reactivating enrollment case. Prescribing providers are strongly encouraged to open a maintenance case to add a Secure Fax number prior to their revalidation.
On March 29, 2022, the Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) updated COVID-19 vaccine product and administration coverage by adding codes 91309 and 0094A for Moderna COVID-19 vaccine boosters for ages 18 and up in bold in the following table:
The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) offers monthly webinars titled COVID-19 vaccines and therapies. The sessions are offered the second Tuesday of the month at noon. The next session is June 14, 2022.
Enteral nutrition and supply codes that were submitted with overlapping dates, paid by Medicare, and crossed over to MaineCare in the Medicare claim file were denying as duplicates. We have corrected this issue by adding the codes to the Diabetic Supply Service Group. We will adjust affected claims, and no provider action is necessary.
