Dozens of employers hiring

BANGOR—The Bangor CareerCenter, in conjunction with Eastern Maine Community College, Bangor Daily News, Cianbro, Eastern Maine Development Corporation and the Maine Department of Labor, will be hosting a job fair on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014. It will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the Maine Hall on the EMCC campus, 354 Hogan Road, Bangor.

“Our economic indicators tell us that Maine employers are hiring, and this job fair in Bangor is testimony to that,” said Governor Paul R. LePage. “We encourage anyone who is looking for work or considering making a career change to come out, meet employers and learn what the area has to offer.”

Attendees should bring a resume and, more important, should be prepared to have an “interview-like” conversation with employers to discuss skills, knowledge areas and abilities. Job seekers should also be dressed for an interview. Those attending the job fair may have their resume critiqued by career counselors for free.
