Unemployment rates for September and October will be released Nov. 22

AUGUSTA?Due to the delays caused by the recent federal shutdown, the Maine Department of Labor will not release the September employment situation for Maine, which includes the preliminary monthly unemployment rate, until Friday, Nov. 22.

That date is the scheduled release date for the October employment situation. Both the September and the October data will be released on that date.

All employment situation data for both months will be available on the website of the department?s Center for Workforce Research and Information, http://www.maine.gov/labor/cwri/ , on Nov. 22.
