PRESQUE ISLE?The Presque Isle CareerCenter announces February programming for job seekers and those who are considering training to upgrade their skills to increase their employability.   • Label Shopper Interviews? A representative from Label Shopper will conduct interviews with job seekers who fill out an application on Feb. 14 from 9 a.m.?5 p.m., and again on Feb. 15 from 9 a.m.?3 p.m.

  • Creating Winning Resumes?workshops offered Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27; 9 a.m.?noon. Learn how to create a professional resume and walk out the door with one in hand after this three-hour workshop.

  • Gateways to Employment?workshop offered in two locations: Houlton on Feb. 19; 9?10 a.m. and in Presque Isle on Feb. 22, 9 a.m.?noon. Want to jump start your job search? Learn new strategies, proper interviewing skills and the correct way to fill out a job application.

  • Financial Aid?Feb. 13 and 27; 9 a.m.?noon. Get assistance with college planning and financial aid. Please pre-register at 800-281-3703 or http://meoc.maine.edu .

  • Federal Job Resume Training?Feb. 26; 9 a.m.?noon. Most federal employers view your information differently than do public employers. This workshop details how to apply for a federal job properly.

  • Veterans Education and Training Benefits? Feb. 12, 9?10 a.m. Come in to see what benefits you may be eligible for and confirm you are in the correct program for you.

  • Interview Workshop?Feb. 15, 9?10 a.m. Interviewing formats are constantly changing. Find out what to expect when you walk in to sit down with an employer.

The Intro to Training workshop provided by ACAP will no longer be held at the Presque Isle CareerCenter. It will take place on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. at the ACAP building, 771 Main Street, beside Walmart.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O?Net software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
