Fall Job Fair in Lewiston Features 30 Employers Bookmark and Share

LEWISTON?The Lewiston CareerCenter will hold a Job Fair on Monday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m.?noon. The fair will be held at the CareerCenter at 5 Mollison Way, Lewiston.

More than 30 employers, all of whom are hiring, will be on hand to recruit for their open positions. Employers registered to date include: Account Temps, Adecco, Assistance Plus, Bonney Staffing, Carbonite, Cianbro, Edward Jones, Fastenal, Fed Ex, First Light Home Care, Geiger Bros., Grover Gundrilling, International Paper, Kelly Services, Lee Auto Mall, Maine Oxy, Manpower, MAS Home Care, Merrymeeting Behavior Health Assoc., MGA Cast Stone, New Balance, Oxford Casino, Rodan & Fields Dermatologist, SCSEP, Sunday River, Support Solutions, TD Bank, Time Warner Cable, VIP, WE Staff and Xerox. Jobs in ME, My Job Wave and the Vet Center will participate in the Job Fair as well.

Attendees should bring a resume and, more important, should be prepared to have an ?interview-like? conversation with employers to discuss skills, knowledge areas and abilities. Job seekers should also be dressed for an interview.

Spanish and Somali interpreters will be available.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of workshops and services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O?Net software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
