On May 21, 2019, the Board of Directors voted to adopt an assessment rate for insurers of 2.76% for Fiscal Year 2020 beginning on July 1, 2019. Assessment letters for insurers and self-insured employers will be mailed shortly and payments are due by June 7, 2019. The Board has recently amended Board Rules Chapter 5, aka the medical fee schedule. The amendments are effective January 1, 2019. To view the changes, please visit our Rules webpage. In conjunction with the amendments, the annual update has been completed for dates of discharge/service on or after 1-1-19. The Workers’ Compensation Board now coordinates with CourtCall to provide a system for parties and their representatives to make routine workers’ compensation appearances by video from their offices, homes or other convenient locations. CourtCall is currently available at all Board regional offices for mediations. For more details, please see our information sheet.
