Gagetown Harmful Chemical Registry

About the Gagetown Harmful Chemical Study Commission

The Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services has established the Base Gagetown Training Registry to collect information from veterans and service members who trained at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown in New Brunswick, Canada, and who may have been exposed to harmful chemicals during their military service.

Established under Maine law in 2026, the voluntary registry is open to individuals who trained at Base Gagetown as members of the U.S. Armed Forces, Reserve components, or National Guard and who currently live in Maine or were Maine residents at the time of their training. For deceased veterans or service members, information may be provided by their next of kin.

The registry will help MBVS better understand who may have been affected, support education and outreach efforts, and contribute to research regarding the potential health effects of chemical exposure. Information collected through the registry is confidential and may only be disclosed as permitted by Maine law.

Veterans and service members who trained at Base Gagetown are encouraged to submit their information, even if they are not currently experiencing a health condition they believe is related to their service.

If you or a family member trained at Base Gagetown, please complete the Base Gagetown Training Registry form below.
