Summary: Secondary sources are vital legal tools that provide essential guidance and analysis in every area of the law. Often using Secondary Sources is the best place to start your research. You can get up to speed on a general area of law or dive deep into a specific subject. You can use them to find primary law authority. You may also be able to use them as persuasive authority in arguments to the court. Refresh your knowledge on best practices when using secondary sources in your research. The first part of the CLE will go through the types of secondary sources. The second half will focus on best practices and time saving tips while using secondary sources in your legal research.
