AUGUSTA – On Monday, Rep. Mike Ray, D-Lincolnville, introduced LD 736, which seeks to address staffing shortages within the Maine State Ferry Service by supporting a workforce development scholarship program at Maine Maritime Academy (MMA).

Under current law, assault on emergency medical care providers is a Class C crime. LD 532 would extend the existing law to include all health care workers.

AUGUSTA – This week, President Donald Trump announced that 25% tariffs would be imposed on goods imported from Canada. In response, Canadian leaders have indicated that their citizens would not purchase American goods or travel to the United States. This includes Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who specifically mentioned travel to Old Orchard Beach.
