Governor Janet Mills announced today that she has nominated a veteran of the Maine state court system, Superior Court Justice Wayne R. Douglas, to serve as an Associate Justice on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Justice Douglas has served on the Maine Superior Court and Maine District Court for more than two decades.

Governor Janet Mills announced today that she will deliver the State of the Budget Address to a Joint Convention of the Legislature in the House Chamber on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

The Governor was invited to deliver her Address by the Legislature’s Presiding Officers, Senate President Troy Jackson and Speaker of the House Rachel Talbot Ross. A copy of their invitation is attached, along with Governor Mills’ acceptance letter.

Governor says 200,000 checks will be mailed per week moving forward

Governor Janet Mills announced that the first round of $450 winter energy relief payments are being mailed to eligible Maine taxpayers today. The $450 Winter Relief Payments are part of Governor Mills’ Emergency Energy Relief Plan to help keep Maine people warm, safe, and secure this winter amid near record high energy costs.
