Minutes     Technical Advisory Groups

The Technical Building Codes and Standards Board was created in 2010 under M.R.S. 10 §9722. Duties of the board are to adopt and amend the Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code, identify and resolve conflicts of the building code and life safety codes.

The next board meeting is scheduled for February 27 th , 2020 in the Chamberlain room at the Dept. of Public Safety, 45 Commerce Drive, Augusta, Maine. The meeting will be at 9 a.m.

Representing the State Fire Marshal’s office, recommended by the Maine Fire Chief’s Association

Ben Breadmore
CEO, representing a Municipality that is not a service center Community (population under 5000), recommended by the Maine Municipal Association

Jeremy Martin
CEO, representing a Municipality that is a Service Center Community (population over 5000), recommended by the Maine Municipal Association

Barry Chase
Representing Residential Builders, recommended by a statewide or regional association of home builders and remodelers

Randy Poulton
Representing Commercial Builders, recommended by a statewide Association of General Contractors

David Matero
Representing a statewide chapter of the National Institute of Architects

Eric Dube
Representing Structural Engineers, recommended by a statewide Association of Structural Engineers

Mike Pullen
Representing the Maine Historic Preservation Commission

Stephen Wintle
Energy Efficiency Representative, recommended by the Director of the Governor’s office of Energy Independence and Security

Steve Martel
Mechanical Engineer, recommended by a statewide Association of Mechanical Engineers
