Vendor Registration

The Division of Purchases has implemented an electronic bid and response system. All transfer of data is done electronically, allowing you to become certified, bid, see results the following day, and have access to valuable information. All you need to have is a web browser application and an Internet connection.

All vendors need to register and become certified. You will only have to do this once. You will be assigned a user-id and a password that is unique to you.

You may access the website with your user-id and password to look for solicitations at any time. You will be able to submit your prices and specifications online and you will get an automatic confirmation that the Division of Purchases has indeed received your response. This will eliminate the mail system or trying to reach the Division of Purchases in person for the bid opening on time.

The bid opening time is 5:00 p.m. local time. By 8:00 a.m. the following business day, you can log into the system and view the bid/quote responses. This saves you time, as you no longer need to attend bid openings or call our office for the results.

Please click on vendor registration below to register. Once you log in, at the bottom of the 1st page, right hand side, you will notice there is a button to click on to download instructions on how to register. We urge you to do so, so that you will have step by step instructions in front of you while you are in the process of registering. Please contact us immediately if you have any questions or problems.

The application service provider being used by the Division of Purchases offers additional services such as an e-mail notification of bids and quotes in your area of interest, prior competitive history and other value added services. These services are offered for a small fee. It is important to note, however, that you are not required to subscribe to these services to be able to bid on State of Maine orders.
