Respect is a universal value upon which we build our professional identities and relationships with colleagues. This workshop outlines respectful and disrespectful behaviors, including subtle or passive forms of disrespect. It further identifies the risks to any organization that tolerates incivility or bullying. Participants will learn the meaning and value of emotional intelligence, and practice principles of effective listening. The session also introduces the Johari Window, a tool for understanding how we present ourselves at work, and for learning from others about messages we send inadvertently.
