Enrollment is done by Referral from Human Resources to the Staff Education & Training Unit

This three day program is designed for new supervisors in State government for the Department of Health and Human Services. In part, the program will focus on the role of the supervisor in an organization especially in relation to developing measurable performance expectations and holding employees accountable to them. The program will also cover policies and procedures that are unique to supervisors within State Government.

Information for each topic will be presented in the agenda below.

Day 1 ? Interviewing and Selection and Developing Measureable Performance Expectations

Day 2 ? Americans with Disabilities Act, Harassment, Language Access, Domestic Violence, Family Medical Leave, Time and Attendance and EAP (Living Resources Program)

Day 3 ? Wellness, Safety, Workers Comp, Employee Discipline and Contract Administration.

New supervisors will be notified directly as to dates and the location of the program upon SETU's notification of your promotion/hire. You will receive links to a series of on-line trainings which are required to be completed before you will receive credit for attending.
