Details: | In every field, and particularly in today's high-stress environment when we are navigating how to enforce safety protocols, employees may have to manage angry, hostile, or noncompliant behavior. It is important for staff to be knowledgeable about and to feel competent in using effective practices when responding to someone who is struggling to comply with organizational safety protocols. This training focus on building both knowledge and confidence in managing escalated situations; the training is completed in two parts, with one week in between trainings to allow for purposeful application of the skills. The focus of the first one hour training is on strategies that proactively mitigate potential and actual escalation situations and the second one hour training, includes a brief review of the information, opportunities to share experiences of escalated situations and skills practice. |
