Fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion is critical to the success of our organization. The Department of Health and Human services is dedicated to ensuring our clients receive quality and compassionate service. To level set expectations, the Department offers the CORE: a Culture of Respect and Empathy training program. This two-part foundational professional ethics and diversity training is grounded in fostering a respectful DHHS workplace. Participants are invited to share their experiences to connect with peers and consider life from a different perspective. Once registered, an invite is provided to participants with instructions. As mentioned, the training is two parts: Part 1- View training videos/take notes autonomously (3 hours of viewing/note taking time pre-facilitation): The first part of the training requires the participant to view the training video playlist and complete the CORE workbook prior to attending the scheduled group facilitation. Part 2 Participate in a post video training group facilitation session. The facilitation session is an opportunity to expand on the concepts discussed in the video presentation, referring to the CORE workbook notes the individual gathered.
