Do you teach 5th or 6th grade? The DEET Education Program hosts an annual "Fight the Bite" poster contest to encourage students to learn how to prevent tick and mosquito bites. One poster from each grade per state will go on to the national level, and the winner receives a certificate and $1000.

Last year, no one from Maine entered, so Maine students are encouraged to send in posters! The judges also encourage homeschoolers to enter.
