Rana appointed to Legislature's Taxation Committee and new Joint Select Committee on Housing

AUGUSTA - Rep. Ambureen Rana, D-Bangor, was appointed by House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross to serve as a member of the Legislature's Joint Standing Committee on Taxation and the newly-formed Joint Select Committee on Housing.

"It is an honor to serve on the Legislatures Taxation Committee and the Joint Select Committee on Housing," said Rana. "I am looking forward to finding fair solutions for our taxpayers that are supportive of the community resources we access each and every day. Additionally, working to address our housing crisis is one of my top priorities this legislative session. There is a crucial need for safe, affordable housing in Bangor and across the state, and I am thankful to get to work on this pressing issue firsthand."

Rana is serving her first term in the Maine House and represents House District 21, which is home to many of Bangor's service providers, tent cities, homeless shelters and warming shelters.
