Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics names Graham Legislator of the Year

AUGUSTA – The Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics has named Rep. Anne Graham, D-North 
Yarmouth, their 2024 Legislator of the Year.

The organization highlighted Graham’s ongoing legislative work to streamline access to behavioral health care, preventive care and medically necessary services for children on Cub Care, as well as other initiatives that benefit Maine children and families.  

“I am proud to work alongside the Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics to improve children’s behavioral health services and health care access,” said Graham. “As a pediatric nurse practitioner for over 35 years, I have spent my entire career working to support our youth to make sure they are happy, healthy and have all they opportunities they deserve. I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue this work in the Legislature.” 

The Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is a membership organization of 220 pediatricians and subspecialists who are dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents in Maine. The chapter provides members with education and training and works with policymakers to improve access to high-quality medical care for children. 

Rep. Anne Graham is serving her fourth non-consecutive term in the Maine House of Representatives. Graham is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services and the Joint Standing Committee on Veterans and Legal Affairs. She represents the community members of North Yarmouth and part of Gray.
