Kuhn invites Maine Supreme Judicial Court to Falmouth High School on Oct. 9
AUGUSTA — On Thursday, Oct. 9 at 9 a.m., the Maine Supreme Judicial Court will arrive at Falmouth High School to hear oral arguments for three different legal cases.. The event, which is being organized by Rep. Amy Kuhn, D-Falmouth, will provide local high school students the opportunity to witness proceedings of the state’s judicial branch up close.
“By visiting high schools across the state, Maine’s Supreme Court is allowing students to observe court proceedings and witness our justice system firsthand,” said Rep. Kuhn. “As House chair of the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee, I know firsthand how crucial an effective and efficient court system is to the wellbeing of our state. It is an honor to be able to share that experience with Falmouth students and to show them the importance of the connection between our justice system and communities throughout Maine.”
