House Democratic Leadership Congratulates Maine's Constitutional Officers

AUGUSTA - During a Joint Convention today, the Maine Legislature re-elected Aaron Frey as Attorney General, Shenna Bellows as Secretary of State and Henry Beck as State Treasurer.

Speaker of the House Rachel Talbot Ross released the following statement:

"Maine's Constitutional Officers, our Attorney General, our Secretary of State, our Treasurer and our Auditor, fulfill critical roles with enormous and wide-ranging responsibilities. The people elected to hold these positions must perform these jobs with honor and decorum. Im confident that Attorney General Frey, Treasurer Beck and Secretary Bellows will continue to be excellent stewards of these offices and execute their duties admirably."

"Each of Maine's Constitutional Officers plays a critical role in protecting our democracy, upholding our laws and ensuring the stewardship and transparency of our state government. I would like to thank Attorney General Frey, Secretary Bellows and Treasurer Beck for their continued service to our state, and I look forward to working closely with each of them over the next two years."
