Rep. Kristi Mathieson is serving her third term in the Maine House of Representatives. She serves as House chair of the Health Coverage, Insurance and Financial Services Committee.
Mathieson is a licensed dietitian and co-owner of a private, integrative medical practice. She has a long history of serving her beloved community, including time spent as board chair of the Kittery Community Center and volunteering with Footprints Food Pantry, the Kittery Proficiency-Based Learning Committee, the Kittery Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Women and Children's Homeless Shelter.
Mathieson is passionate about supporting her Kittery neighbors and is a strong advocate for all Mainers gaining access to essential services, including housing, physical and mental health care, food security, sexual assault services and other community resources.
Her husband, Thad, is a retired high school math teacher working as a financial advisor. Her daughter, who attended Kittery schools K-12, has recently graduated from American University and is working in Washington, D.C. Mathieson is an avid outdoor swimmer, has completed the Boston Marathon several times and also enjoys, yoga, hiking and biking.
