Gatekeeper TrainingIn suicide prevention, a gatekeeper refers to someone who:
Gatekeepers are the "safety net" for vulnerable youth and for students seeking help for their friends. They can be teachers, counselors, ministers, youth workers, parents, or anyone willing to attend a one day training offered by the Maine Youth Suicide Prevention Program. Find a training near you on the MainePreventionCalendar.org or download the 2009-2010 Training Brochure (PDF) Or if you have a minimum of 15 people interested in an on-site training for your school or organization, contact Linda Williams at 622-7566 ext. 243 or fill out our Request for Information Form. The cost of on-site training is $100.00. |
