Public Notice: New Round of Conservation and Farmland Protection Funding

NEW! The Land for Maine’s Future Board has issued a new call for land conservation proposals.  The deadline for applications is April 1, 2008.   After careful evaluation, the Board will select project finalists at its July 2008 meeting. The New Proposal Workbook is also now available (LMF Proposal Workbook).

LMF 2007 Proposal Workbook is now available.

NEW! This is the seventh edition of the Proposal Workbook since the Land for Maine’s Future Board initiated its grants program in 1988. This workbook contains vital information on a wide range of Land for Maine’s Future topics. Please see the LMF Proposal Workbook for more imformation.

Land Conservation Funding Sources

Pursuant to Resolves 2007, c. 108, the State Planning Office has compiled this list of state and federal programs that award grants, provide matching funds or otherwise financially assist with efforts to conserve land for public recreation.  While not all the programs below are focussed exclusively on recreational uses, their assistance may be possible depending on the particulars of the project in question.
