Governor Baldacci signed a new executive order laying out a Quality of Place Investment Strategy for Maine. The order also establishes a State Quality of Place Council that will help align and coordinate investment strategies across state departments and regional councils.

New Comprehensive Planning Rules
Beginning on September 20, 2008, all local comprehensive plans submitted to the office for consistency determinations will be reviewed under new rules (Chapter 208).
