Solid Waste Management Advisory Council

The Solid Waste Management Advisory Council advises the State Planning Office in reviewing state solid waste management policy, possible development of facilities and programs, and related matters. It is a 14-member council, appointed by the Governor, with representation from: the public; municipal government; and the solid waste industry.  This is a standing council that replaces the solid waste policy review task force, which only met every five years.
