Now is the time to start planning for Summer Meals!
Interested in growing SFSP participation in your community but don’t know where to find extra funding to support your expansion? Good Shepherd Food Bank may be able to help.
The 2014 SFSP Mini Grant Program is designed to help support Summer Food Service Program sponsors increase the number of meals served at open sites in their communities. Grant funds will be awarded to sponsors via reimbursements for costs associated with increasing program participation above or beyond USDA reimbursements. Mini Grant reimbursement funds are designed to be used to increase access and meals in rural and underserved populations. Projects eligible for Mini Grant reimbursements may include:
· Food costs associated with providing higher quality, more kid friendly meals with an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables
