Student Assistance Team Resource Guide Sharing Ideas that Work

A goal of the SAT Unit is to provide resources to local teams throughout the state. Teams frequently request suggestions of strategies other SATs find effective. To that end, we are asking your help by sharing your great ideas. Our intent is to continually collect ideas from teams and annually publish the collected ideas that work  to provide every SAT with more strategies that they can use to help their students.

We are looking for strategies, large or small, simple or complex, that your team finds helpful. These can be ideas that help the team work well together, ideas for interventions with individual children, or school-wide supports you have found useful. Just complete the enclosed form and mail it to us.  The goal is to gather as many ideas as possible and share them with one another so we all can most effectively serve the students in our schools.

A suggestion: An annual team renewal is a great way for team members to reflect upon their accomplishments and plan for the future. One activity for your team renewal might be to list the interventions and strategies that you have used and found successful. This is great confirmation for the work your team does. As you record your successes, include this information in your team records, so you can use it as a resource for your team. THEN, make a submit the idea to share with other SATs through the Resource Guide!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact your regional consultant or the SAT Unit office. Remember – the best ideas are the ones YOU are using. This resource can’t happen without your input. We are looking forward to hearing from you and providing this long-awaited resource to you!
