Updated Activity on Notices of Intent and Responses

This includes updates and changes to the Summary Chart below.

  • SAD 67, SAD 31, SAD 30, the communities of Union 110 and Union 113, Millinocket, Seboeis Plantation, Lowell Plantation, Glenwood Plantation, Bancroft Plantation, Grand Falls Plantation, Medford, and Greenbush have each filed revised Notices of Intent to reorganize with each other. The Commissioner has sent a letter stating this configuration complies with the law. (11/15)
  • Glenburn, Orono and Veazie have each filed Notices of Intent to reorganize with each other. Commissioner Gendron has sent a letter to each SAU indicating that their Notices comply with the law and they can continue working together. The Commissioner is also recommending continued exploration within the region (beyond those three towns) to achieve the most effective and sustainable partnerships for the region (10/19)
  • China, Vassalboro, Winslow, and Waterville have each filed revised Notices of Intent to reorganize with China, Vassalboro, Winslow, Waterville, Oakland, Belgrade, Sidney, and Rome.  MSAD 47’s (Belgrade, Oakland, Sidney, Rome) original Notice of Intent to reorganize showed the same configuration.  The Commissioner has sent a letter stating this configuration complies with the law.   • MSAD 4, MSAD 46, Harmony, and Willimantic have each filed revised Notices of Intent to reorganize.  The configuration is now reciprocal and the Commissioner has sent a letter stating it complies with the law. (10/16)
  • Penobscot filed a revised Notice of Intent to reorganize with MSAD 18, Orland and Bucksport.  The Commissioner is awaiting reciprocal Notices of Intent from the other units before responding. (10/16)
  • MSAD 9, MSAD 58, Coplin Plt, and Highland Plt have each filed revised Notices of Intent to reorganize with each other. The Commissioner has sent a letter stating this configuration complies with the law. (updated 11/16)
