Federal Education Jobs Program

The U.S. Department of Education awarded Maine schools $39 million in 2010 as part of a federal package meant to preserve public education jobs. After receiving their allocations, Maine school units are required to spend the funds by Sept. 30, 2012.

Supplemental Allocation - 2012

The Maine Department of Education received an additional allocation of $573,838 from the U.S. Department of Education in January 2012.
