Program Description - prepared by The Princeton Review

The Princeton Review supplemental service program provides live instruction in a small group setting that is designed to work with the needs of students in grades 3-12. After considering the desired program length and assessment preferences outlined by each district, a customized course syllabus will be designed for each program and the program site. A director will manage all Princeton Review teachers within the school at the program site, maintaining the ongoing communication with the school administration and serving as the administrative liaison between the teachers and the Princeton Review local office. All teachers will be highly qualified, experienced individuals who have undergone our professional development training regimen.

Upon both the enrollment and completion of the Princeton Review instructional courses, students will take benchmark tests as a means of measuring pre and post course achievement levels. Following a personalized analysis of the initial pre test data, teachers will assess each student's particular needs. Using this information, the general course work is supplemented with individualized skill review activities. Each student will receive a mid-term progress report that allows teachers to communicate information about skill advancement as well as additional elements that may speak to student progress - for example attendance record and class participation. The final benchmark test evaluates student performance over the entire course.

The key to successful implementation will be to organize a program that best meets the needs of the students and satisfies the schedule of the school. The time and location of services will be organized on a district basis. The Princeton Review will schedule sessions during mutually acceptable times outside regular school hours (e.g. two hours/week for 20 weeks). Timelines will be established and outlined at the start of the course and may vary depending on curse length and instructional subject(s). In order to maximize the effectiveness of our program a minimum course length of 20 hours, including Math & ELA is recommended.

The Princeton Review has delivered live instruction in a wide variety of classroom settings including urban, rural and suburban communities. The Princeton Review will conduct courses in school classroom space whenever possible. When classroom space is not available, courses will be held in community spaces within each district. All spaces will meet safety code.

As a result of our nationwide presence and reach, The Princeton Review does not have a maximum number of student participants per school. The Princeton Review reserves the right to require a minimum number of student participants per school to be determined based on specific school locations to be served.
