Supplemental Educational Services

Supplemental Educational Services (SES) is a program of after-school tutoring for students who are enrolled in the free or reduced price lunch program in Title 1 schools that have not made Adequate Yearly Progress for three or more years. The list of schools that are required to provide SES can be found in the Information for Parents section below. The tutoring is free and the tutors have been approved by the Maine Department of Education. Parents choose the tutor that they feel is best for their child from those providers offering services in their child’s school.
