Module
The Staff module
will be online on September 5th for school year 2006-07 updates. Data entered last year will appear in the 2006-07
screens, but it m

optional fields on Staff SAU screen:
o Email Address - This will facilitate better communications with school staff.
o Fax Number

Adult Education added to the drop down list in the
“Level of Assignment” field on the Job Function page.

New
field on Staff Personal screen for Number
of Full Years Work Experience (non-education) in Major CTE/Vocational Education
Subject Matter Area – required for CTE/Vocational teachers.

Student
Module
The Student
module is expected to go online for 2006-07 in mid-September. A subsequent
MEDMS Update will announce the go live date and provide more detailed
information.
Changes for
2006-07 include:

US Entry Date will be required for all LEP students.

new field will be added for AYP Resident
School. This is an AYP requirement to match out-of-district students with
their sending school, not j

The Fiscal
Responsibility selection list will include a choice for MIE Tribal Member Agreement. This is for students who have their
education paid by Maine Indian Education funding. The upload code for this
option is the letter M.
·
The SAU
FTE % selection list for Home School Education will include a choice for CTE/Vocational Education Only (home
schooled students attending CTE/Vocational programs). The upload code for this
option is the single digit number 6.
·
Student
Name to be added to Enrollment Upload Results file to allow for easier
identification of errors.

A
new form will capture Graduation Year for 9th grade students. This
will be separate from the student enrollment data and will not impact the
upload file.
The Student
Personal upload schema will not change. The Student Enrollment upload schema
will be modified to include the
MEDMS
Financial System
The financial
system is going through the pilot testing phase of the data collection processes.
This includes transfers of data files from local financial systems through the
FTP process and through local SIF (Schools Interoperability Framework) agents
to the State zone integration server as well as manual data entry directly
