The Maine Department of Education is currently awarding $1,000 Service Learning grants to schools that have not received Learn and Serve grant money in the past. The $1,000 is to be used to help students implement a high-quality service learning project. Schools must provide in-kind or cash match for at least $1,000, and the teacher receiving a grant will take or have taken a Service Learning 101 training from KIDS Consortium. If you are interested in applying for this grant, please download the application from the link below and email the completed application to Charlie Hartman (charlie.hartman@maine.gov), Director of Service Learning at the Maine Department of Education.
