This notice is for those who did not homeschool in Maine during 2004-05.

If you homeschooled in Maine during 2004-05, you should use the 2005-06 Subsequent Year Letter

The home instruction program shall commence on _________________________ and shall remain in effect until a minimum of 175 days has been completed. It shall provide for an annual assessment of the student’s progress in accordance with existing regulations.

The program will provide for instruction in the following subject areas as required: English and language arts, math, science, social studies, physical education, health education, library skills, fine arts and in at least one grade from grade 6 to 12, Maine studies. At one grade level from grade 7 to 12, the student will demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers.
